Women's Medicines SIG
Recently, two cohort studies addressed a possible association between menstrual cycle changes and Covid-19 vaccinations. ISoP's SIG for Women's Medicines commented on these studies and made reference to a recent BMJ (British Medical Journal) editorial (published on 26 January) by Victoria Male.  The author had discussed the above studies as well, and Mira Harrison-Woolrych, ISoP President and Head of the ISoP Women's Medicines SIG, drafted a rapid response to the BMJ.  NASoP-DIA collaboration webinars 2022

DIA (Drug Information Association) and NASoP (ISoP North American Chapter) have collaborated to offer a series of four, one-hour, monthly webinars on Drug Interactions, led by renowned experts, from February to May 2022. The webinars are intended to encourage discussion within the drug safety community on a topic that is of increasing interest in pharmacovigilance. The next webinar is scheduled for 3 March 2022.

Enhance your Career in Drug Safety and Improve your Professional Competencies through the Am2P Academic Certificate Diploma!
The European program in Pharmacovigilance and Pharmacoepidemiology (EU2P), coordinated by the University of Bordeaux, has been extended to the Americas (Am2P). This program offers an innovative and completely online certificate diploma in Pharmacovigilance and Pharmacoepidemiology.
The Am2P is presented by professors from the North American region, and it is developed by academic, regulatory, and industry Consortium partners. The standard Am2P certificate learning achievements are recognized as 3 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits, and you can choose between introductory, intermediate, or advanced Certificate course fitting your background and needs. The average course workload is one day a week over a 3-month period (depending on the course ECTS credits). The Certificate diploma is awarded after a final assessment session. Tuition fees are adjusted to student or professional status. Savings on regular fees can be offered based on the attendee’s eligibility.
You can enrol in the program if you are fluent in English,  familiar with computer use, and have Internet access, after you submit a complete online application, together with required supporting documentation Pre-requisites depend on the chosen module. General Assembly Minutes
The General Assembly (GA) was held last November via video conference, during the Oman annual meeting. The General Assembly presentation and the meeting minutes are available on the website.
Patient Engagement SIG
This new SIG was launched during the ISoP General Assembly in November 2021. The SIG aims to empower the patient to be an integral part of the safe use of medicines. ISoP members with an interest in patient engagement are welcome to join this SIG.
ISoP Fellowship 2022
ISoP fellowships are awarded to individuals who have been active ISoP members for at least five consecutive years, demonstrated significant achievement in pharmacovigilance and relevant disciplines, were recognized by their peers, and have contributed substantially to the work of ISoP. Submit your application by May 31. More information is available at the ISoP website.
