Institute of Pharmacovigilance (IPV) activities are carried out in close collaboration with the International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISoP). ISoP is an international non-profit scientific organisation, which aims to foster Pharmacovigilance both scientifically and educationally, and enhance all aspects of the safe and proper use of medicines, in all countries.
ISoP Special Interest Group on Career Frameworks in Pharmacovigilance has recognised a need for development of global standards for career development in our discipline. Such a task requires a professional organisation with significant investment of resources. Thus the Institute of Pharmacovigilance volunteered itself to become the partner and develop the programme for ISoP.
In 2020, the Institute of Pharmacovigilance (IPV) began a very close collaboration with the International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISoP) on a new and exciting project - Global Pharmacovigilance Professional Certification (GPPC).
The programme has received wide support by ISoP, its Executive Committee and Advisory Board. The proposals have also been shared with the wider membership of ISoP. We intend to follow a transparent processwith as wider an involvement of the global pharmacovigilance community as possible.
Memorandum of Understanding
To formalize the partnership, a Memorandum of Understanding between the two parties was signed on 7th September, 2022.
The membership is open to all professionals or students with an interest in pharmacovigilance. As a member, you will gain access to a platform for discussion and generation of new research ideas among fellow pharmacovigilance professionals.
