Tomas Pikola

After finishing his master's degree in Economics & Management, Tomas started his career path as a finance professional. However, he has been always passionate about training & process improvement. In addition to his finance role, he was providing technical training to his colleagues. To expand his field of experience, he accepted the offer to work in the Communication Unit of the Representation of the Czech Republic during the first Czech Presidency to the Council of the European Union.

After the Presidency, Tomas returned to the private sector. While working in an international IT company as a senior finance professional, once again he started to deliver training to his team, and hence was offered a role of Training Lead. He launched a knowledge development program, covering both internal training and external certifications.

Tomas holds Lean Six Sigma Green Belt which helps him to connect training with process optimization.

Tomas' passion and experience in designing training & certification programs brought him to the Institute of Pharmacovigilance. As the Director of Global Pharmacovigilance Professional Certification, Tomas is responsible for the coordination of the Regulatory Intelligence Project and the Certifications Project.

As a long-term boy scout leader, Tomas has improved his skills by attending courses on first aid, survival, psychology, and pedagogy. Scouting has brought him a wide range of hobbies including horseback riding, speleology, diving, canoeing, and mountaineering.
Besides that, Tomas is also an avid photographer and keen guitarist.
